
Ethan Azarian was raised on a small family farm in Cabot, Vermont. His mother a print maker and father a musician. in 1989 he moved to Austin, Texas to pursue a career in art and music Having no formal training, Ethan is a self taught artist and musician. Ethan is also a musician. He and his wife Melissa founded the Blue Cow Studio in 2016 and have curated and produced exhibitions of established and emerging Austin artists. In addition, they exhibit and promote their own work during the Austin Studio Tour.
Ethan's work is part of many private and commercial collections. Ethan is fiscally sponsored by Austin Creative Alliance and receives funding from the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division for community based art projects. Ethan recently completed Boone Elementary School Mural project with the students and art teacher (May, 2022). Ethan's next mural project will be for local business The Hole in the Wall.
Ethan was invited to participate in cultural exchange events in Angers, Francis (2016) and Oita, Japan (2018), Austin's Sister cities as a representative of Austin's cultural arts community, as both a visual artist and performing musician.
